2007 Itinery

Press Release

Starting in the beautiful town of Beaune there will be a chance to visit the pretty town centre as our signing on hotel; the Hostellerie le Cédre is close to all the action. Having met up at the Welcome Dinner, the clock will start running as we rally deep into the vineyards of Burgundy, and although the rally route will visit many villages that can be found on a wine list, there are plenty of rural lanes to enjoy driving and navigating through. The maze of roads in this area offer some exciting rally sections before reaching the lovely Château de Pizay, and a chance to enjoy the wine made by the château from the Morgon grapes surrounding it.

The routes for the next couple of days are designed to provide a unique combination of challenging regularities and non-timed passage sections as the route zigzags from control to control, but there will be time each afternoon to socialise with other crews and enjoy this charming area.

The last two days will see the rally head north to the Celtic and Roman town of Autun. Hôtel des Ursulines is set overlooking this vibrant town and has breathtaking views of the surrounding countryside. This undulating country sets the scene for the final day’s rallying, which will be testing, but very satisfying! A prize giving dinner will held in the hotel’s chapel, which is part of the original monastery, and will conclude another great adventure in France.

Entries are already being received and full details and entry forms are available from the rally office.
